A man who was shot several times in his home Saturday at Lake Ozark has died from his injuries. He becomes the second victim of that home invasion.
Sharon Dickson, 59, was found dead on the scene in Sunrise Beach. Her partner, William Van Note, 67, was taken to an undisclosed hospital with critical injuries. He succumbed Wednesday.
There are few other details surrounding the case, except that the killer is still on the loose. Since the investigation began, the Camden County Sheriff’s Department has refused to comment on any specifics about the incident.
The Lake of the Ozarks Major Case Squad joined the investigation Monday to follow leads. Tuesday, the Mid-County Fire Protection District’s dive team began searching around the dock on Van Note’s property; they’re most likely looking for discarded firearms.
