Appeals court should decide next week on election dispute

A state appeals court will decide by October 15th whether to order a new election in a state representative race won by one vote.

An attorney for Will Royster argued in court that his client deserved either a hand recount or a new election. An attorney for Joseph Rizzo argued that no voter fraud or mistakes by voters had been proved and their ballots shouldn’t be tossed out. Rizzo defeated Royster in the 40th District Democratic primary.
