A Missouri man claiming repressed memories of childhood sexual abuse has sued a Kansas City priest and the Catholic Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph.
The name of the man hasn’t been released. He claims that he was abused by the Reverend Michael Tierney in 1971. The lawsuit contends that Tierney abused the man when he was 13 during a time he was helping the priest move items at his mother’s home. A lawyer for the priest denies all the allegations.
