A man who says a he was beaten in the Washington County jail has gained support from the American Civil Liberties Union in his lawsuit against the county, the chief jailer and his daughter, and other jail inmates.
Gary Gieselman says the jailers intentionally put him in a cell with another inmate known for attacking fellow inmates. Chief jailer Vernon Wilson faces criminal charges of civil rights violations.
