For the second time this week, the St. Louis Blues played the Minnesota Wild in a preseason NHL game.  Call it dejavu as just like on Tuesday night, the Wild would have no answer for the Blues attack and St. Louis shut out Minnesota 5-0.

The Blues scoring attack was led by Alex Steen and David Perron who each had two goals on the night.  Steen and Perron would each score a goal on the power play.  The other goal for St. Louis would come from Brett Sonne.  This would also come with the man advatnage.

Blues goalie Ty Conklin was perfect on the night as he would turn away 21 shots from the Wild.

The scary moment of the night would come in the first period when Minnesota goalie Josh Harding would be carried off the ice after being crashed into by Brad Boyes.  Boyes had been checked into Harding by another Wild player.

Harding was making his first start in goal after having surgery to repair a partially torn hip labrum.  After the collision, he would be down on the ice for several minutes before being taken off the ice by his teammates.

The Blues are right back on the ice tonight and tomorrow night.  St. Louis will be in Dallas tonight to take on the Stars.  Tommorrow night, they will be in Colorado to play the Avalanche.

Tonight’s game will face off at 7:00.  The puck will drop tomorrow night in Denver at 8:00.
