Drug maker Forest Laboratories of Earth City is paying 313-million dollars to settle criminal and civil complains filed against it by the federal government.
The company had been accused of marketing the antidepressant Celexa as a treatment for adolescents and younger children. It’s approved only for adult users.
The company also was accused of concealing an unfavorable study of results of the drug’s use on adolescents.
