Alex Gonzalez hit a three run home in the bottom of the 12th inning to lead the Braves to a 6-3 win over the Cardinals. It was another milestone game for Albert Pujols, but another tough loss as the Cardinals rallied twice to tie the game before losing.

The Cardinals can’t make up any ground on the Reds who are slumping badly. St. Louis is 6.5 games out in the Central Division and 7.5 out in the wild card. The Cardinals have dropped four of their last six.

A two run double by Albert Pujols in the sixth inning gave him 101 RBIs making it the 10th season that Pujols has hit at least 30 homers and drove in 100 runs. Pujols trails Al Simmons who had 100+ RBI in 11 straight seasons.
