Head coach Gary Pinkel reported from the hospital that Prince was regaining feeling in his limbs around six o’clock last night, roughly an hour or after the hit. Late last night, Team Physician Dr. Pat Smith issued a statement saying “Munir’s neurological status is improving and will continue to be monitored closely over several days. We believe at this time that his prognosis is favorable,” Smith said.

Smith indicated that Prince has gone through a battery of tests, and that he is doing well and resting comfortably after being diagnosed with transient quadriplegia, a temporary loss of sensation and movement in the upper and lower extremities.

Prince is a senior who transfered from Notre Dame to Mizzou back in 2008. Prince was listed second on the depth chart at safety behind Jasper Simmons.
