A man who claimed repressed memory of sexual abuse by a Catholic high school teacher in the 80s has settled his complaint for half a million dollars.

Bryan Bacon had earlier settled a lawsuit with the Marianist Province of the United States, a St. Louis-based order that ran the Vianney High School. Bacon claimed that 71-year-old Brother William Mueller of San Antonio blindfolded, threatened and molested him in 1985 while serving as assistant principal and religion teacher at the school.
