St. Louis County health officials are trying to determine what might have caused a small outbreak of the illness crypto, which causes diarrhea.
Eighteen cases have been reported. Ten were reported in children ages 1-to-4. Health officials are investigating day care centers.
For far this year, 56 cases of the illness have been reported, compared with 10 by this time last year.
