Everyone knew it would just be a matter of time before the Rams handed the reins over to their number one draft pick Sam Bradford. I’m not sure many people expected it to possibly be after the second preseason game. If that is the case, expect many growing pains.

Starting quarterback A.J. Feeley injured his right thumb in the first quarter during a touchdown drive when he was hit by Cleveland Browns LB Chris Gocong during the Rams 19-17 win. Feeley had his thumb and elbow wrapped after the game. He said X-rays on both were negative and expects to play Thursday against New England.

Bradford came in for St. Louis’ next drive and nearly threw an interception on his first attempt. Bradford was just 6 of 14 for 24 yards and Keith Null, the third stringer wasn’t much better going 3 for 14 for 46 yards.

Kicker Josh Brown, back from a hip flexor injury, kicked four field goals of 32, 39, 21 and 28 yards.
