Federal prosecutors have charged a Florissant man with stealing financial information from seven individuals and ripping them off for $45,000 dollars.

Prosecutors say Parker worked with others for a couple of years, hanging out at public events held throughout the St. Louis area at such places as Shaw Park, St. Louis Cardinals Baseball games and Millennium Park. They would watch for motorists to leave billfolds and purses in their cars, wait until the event was underway, pry their way into vehicles and get information off credit and debit cards…carefully returning the billfolds and purses where they were so their owners wouldn’t realize a theft had taken place.

Authorities at present don’t know the identities of those who helped Parker.
