Yuniesky Betancourt homered for the second game in a row and drove in three runs, leading the Royals over the Cleveland Indians 9-7 Wednesday night.

Betancourt’s 12th homer of the season was a career high. He also had a two run single earlier in the game. His homer in the sixth gave the Royals took a 9-4 lead. He has hit .421 with 10 RBIs in his past 11 games. Mitch Maier hit a two-run triple and Billy Butler drove in a two runs as well.

Bruce Chen moves two games over .500 (8-6) as he won for the third time in four starts this month. He gave up four runs on 11 hits in 5 2/3 innings. The Indians made the game closer in the eighth when they scored three runs off the middle relief. Once again, no night off for Joakim Soria. He came on in the ninth and nailed down his 35th save.
