The Kansas City Royals announced today that the club has traded outfielder Jose Guillen to the San Francisco Giants in exchange for a player to be named. The Royals also sent cash considerations to the Giants to complete the deal.
The 34-year old Guillen was hitting .255 with 16 home runs and 62 RBI in 106 games for the Royals prior to being designated for assignment on August 5.
