Forbes has released its list of the top universities in the country, and only one of Missouri’s institutions cracked the top 100. Washington University in St. Louis ranks 75th on the list. Westminster College is at number 113, Rockhurst University at 131, and William Jewell is at 157.

Forbes has 610 schools on its list, just 9% of the 6,600 accredited postsecondary institutions in the U.S. “So appearing on our list at all is an indication that a school meets a high standard,” Forbes says on its website.

Other ranked schools include the College of the Ozarks (235), the University of Missouri (364), St. Louis University (381), Drury University (391), Truman State University (393), Missouri S&T (432), Missouri State University (486), Webster University (496), and the University of Missouri-Kansas City (599).
