There was a big deal made of the over 8,000 fans who attended the Chiefs practice last Wednesday night under the lights, but the St. Louis Rams, despite their dismal season of a year ago, had just about as many fans attend their one and only planned scrimmage on Saturday at Lindenwood University.
The big draw of course is their number one pick, quarterback Sam Bradford. He was 9 of 12 with two touchdowns in the live tackling periods and then as the team broke down into non-tackling sessions, Bradford threw two more.

One other player who stuck out on the offensive side of the ball was undrafted rookie Brandon McCrae. The 6’3 207 pound receiver scored on a 60 yard touchdown from quarterback Keith Null. The former Mississippi State Bulldog beat cornerback Kevin Dockery to the end zone. He also had a nice 20 yard reception that was called back on a penalty.
After watching the scrimmage, head coach Steve Spagnuolo noticed that there are a lot of things this team needs to work on, what he called “little” things not only this week, in anticipation of their first game against the Vikings, this Saturday, but the rest of the preseason leading up to their season opener on September 12th.
