While an official annoucement is expected sometime later today, several sources are reporting that the St. Louis Rams and number one overall draft pick Sam Bradford have come to terms on a contract.  It is a six year, 78 million dollar deal that will pay Bradford 50 million dollars in guaranteed money, which is an NFL record.

Bradford’s contract also includes incentives that could pay him almost 90 million dollars.  This tops the contract of Detroit Lions quarterback Matt Stafford from last season, which was the previous record.  Stafford’s contract is worth 72 million dollars.

After not being on the practice field yesterday and Thursday, Bradford is expected to be in uniform when the entire team works out for the first time this afternoon at Rams Park.
