Carlos Ruis hit a walkoff home run in the 10th inning off Cardinals reliever Blake Hawksworth as the Cardinals lost 2-1 on Tuesday night in Philadelphia when once again another fan ran out onto the field.

The fan episode happened at the start of the ninth inning and this time the guy wasn’t tazed, but it may have affected Phillies starter Cole Hamels who shutout the Cardinals for eight innings while allowing six hits and striking out six. However, David Freese led off with a double and Yadier Molina followed with an RBI double to tie the game at 1-1. Hamels was done and lost his bid for a win and complete game shutout. Brad Lidge came in and closed the door.

The Cardinals were trailing 1-0 after Ruis scored a run on a sacrifice fly, the only blemish for Cardinals starter Adam Wainwright who went eight innings and allowed just four hits and two walks while striking out eight.
