The men in St. Louis. The women in Kansas City. Both of our cities will be hosting regional finals as the NCAA Division I tournaments move from the Sweet 16 to the Final Four.

Tonight, two Big 10 teams will play at the Jones Dome in St. Louis. First, Ohio State will take on Tennessee who was my sleeper pick in this tournament and now with Kansas out of contention thanks to Northern Iowa, the Vols have a great shot of coming of the Show Me State with a Final Four berth. Those Northern Iowa Panthers hope to keep their dream season alive. They will play Michigan State in the second game.

Before I get too hyped up on Tennessee, I’m thinking of jumping on the Northern Iowa bandwagon.  There always seems to be a mid-major team that makes a big run.  We all remember George Mason, (who by the way, knocked out Tom Izzo’s Michigan State Spartans during their improbable run).

This Sunday, the Sprint Center will play host for two Big 12 teams. Oklahoma at 25-10 will play Notre Dame who is 29-5 at 6:30. Following that game, the fourth ranked team in the country and the Kansas City Regionals’ #1 seed, Nebraska who is 32-1 will take on 19th ranked Kentucky. The Regional finals are Tuesday night with the winner heading to San Antonio.
