Wichita State overcame a nine-point, second-half deficit behind another standout shooting effort against the Missouri State Lady Bears to post an 80-75 victory in the quarterfinal round of the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Tournament. Freshman Jessica Diamond’s 21 points led all scorers and helped the Shockers record their third win of the season over the Lady Bears.
Central Missouri Jennies knocked out of D-II tourney

After being down by 14 points heading into halftime, the Central Missouri Jennies basketball team outscored Washburn, 45-39 in the second half. Even with that great stanza the Jennies fell 72-61 in the NCAA-II South Central Regional today in Canyon, Texas.
Billikens Out of A-10 Tourney

It is one and done for the Saint Louis University Billikens as they lose in the quarterfinal round of the Atlantic 10 Tournament to Rhode Island. Saint Louis will now have to wait and see, if and when they will continue playing basketball in a post season tournament. [Read more...]
