The Missouri Western men’s basketball team fell to the 8th seed Washburn Ichabods 56-43 in the second round of the MIAA Men’s Basketball Tournament held in Kansas City, Mo. Western was led by Marcus Rhodes as he dumped in 17 points. Western falls to 18-11 with the defeat.
Jennies to play for MIAA title
For the first time since the 2005-06 season the Central Missouri Jennies are heading to the MIAA Tournament Championship game as they defeated No. 15 Emporia State, 79-74, in Municipal Auditorium today.

McCaskill urges Democrats to “stay with us” on health care, criticizes Republican tactics
Senator McCaskill told Democrats gathered for Hannibal Days that Congress and the White House is doing the hard stuff as Republicans resort to obstruction as a political strategy for 2010.
McCaskill, speaking at the brunch, said some people go to Washington simply to try to win elections. She said Democrats are using their majorities in Congress and occupation of the White House to help the country move forward. [Read more...]
Chalk up another Jayhawk win
