The Missouri Mavericks are in the home stretch of their first season in Independence, Missouri and have a solid shot at making the playoffs in their first year of existence. Not only has a good team, but the thirst for professional hockey in the Kansas City area has made the Mavericks a hit.
Billikens rally for fifth win in a row
For the fourth game in a row, the Saint Louis Billikens found themselves down by double digits and managed to rally for a win. It was actually SLU’s fifth win in a row as the Billikens (17-8, 8-3 Atlantic 10) beat Rhode Island 62-57.
Tigers hold off #15 Texas

The Missouri Tigers jumped out to a quick 10 point lead, let Texas back in the game in the second half and then pulled away late for an 82-77 win over the 15th ranked Longhorns, Wednesday night at Mizzou Arena.
Bears rally comes up short
A late-game comeback fell short for the Missouri State Bears (17-10, 7-9) here Wednesday, falling short in a 76-72 decision to Illinois State in Missouri Valley Conference play. After holding a 33-28 lead at the half, the Bears did not score a point in the first five minutes of the second period. Illinois State stormed out of the gates with 15 unanswered points to take a 43-33 lead. Dinma Odiakosa scored the first seven points for ISU, and the Bears were whistled for four personal fouls in the first two minutes to set the pace early.
Third ranked Mules rally from down 17 to win
Nebraska-Omaha held a 17 point first half lead over Central Missouri, the third ranked team in the country and still led by nine with 10 minutes to play, but Central Missouri tied the game up just a minute and a half later and go on to the beat the Mavericks 89-84.
