Mules go up two games in basketball standings

Senior forward Sanijay Watts made a Player of the Year statement in front of 6,210 opposing fans on Saturday evening at No. 10 Fort Hays State, scoring 30 points and pulling down a career-high 17 rebounds in a 79-63 victory that put No. 3 Central Missouri up two games in the conference standings.

MU women nearly pull off big upset

The Missouri Tiger women’s basketball, the worse three point shooting team in the Big 12 nearly ended Nebraska’s perfect run by nailing eight three pointers, but Nebraska rallied late to pull off the 82-78 win at Mizzou Arena Saturday afternoon.

Baylor tips Missouri

Missouri’s Kim English made one of two free throws with :46 seconds remaining to give the Tigers there first lead of the game since the early moments, but with 1.3 second left, Baylor scored on a tip in bucket to hold on for a 64-62 win in Waco on Saturday afternoon. Baylor is now 12-1 at home. The Tigers are 18-7 on the year.

Blues Blank The Leafs

A strong game by the Blues on both ends of the ice gives them a 4-0 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Scottrade Center. Blues goalie Chris Mason was the star of the night as he made 30 saves for his second shut out of the season. [Read more...]

Tigers Go Hunting For Bear

A tough road test is on tap for the Mizzou Tigers as they are in Waco for a game this afternoon against the number 24 Baylor Bears. This will be the first meeting between these two teams since the Tigers beat the Bears last year for the Big 12 tournament title. [Read more...]
