T.J. Oshie and Brad Boyes scored in the shootout for St. Louis,as the Blues blew a 3-1 lead, but come back to win in the overtime shootout 4-3 over the Detroit Red Wings snapping a three game losing streak.

The Blues may have tired as the game went on considering they didn’t get back to St. Louis from Denver until 2:30 Thursday morning, but they got off to a great start. Paul Kariya scored twice for his first goals at home in more than 15 months. Kariya told nhl.com after the game, “Maybe we need to get less sleep the night before games, but we certainly had good energy and carried it in. They certainly got some lucky goals and lucky bounces.”

Despite the win, St. Louis is still a a league worst 10-16-5 at home and has blown a lead in the third period eight times this season. Detroit rallied with two goals in the final 5:30 of the game to tie it at 3-3 on goals by Pavel Datsyuk and Valtteri Filppula.
