Vets commission tells what it heard

Missouri’s veterans have told the state commission that coordinates services for them that it has a lot of work to do.

The commission held more than twenty listening sessions last year to assess veterans’ needs and its own levels of services. The commission was working with the six members groups of the Missouri Veterans Organization, the federal veterans affairs department, the Missouri Military Preparedness and Enhancement Commission and other organizations. Gov. Nixon hosts China ambassador to the United States

Governor Nixon and other Missouri dignitaries are welcoming the Chinese ambassador to the United States to Missouri, with a lot at stake.
The talks center on trade, but Missouri officials are pressing hard to formalize a deal with China to establish a $40 million Midwest trade hub based at St. Louis’ Lambert Airport.

Mo. suicide rates slightly higher than national average

About two Missourians kill themselves intentionally each day. Scott Perkins, Missouri Youth Suicide Prevention Project, statistics mirror the national average, but are a little bit higher.

A handful of Chiefs and Rams make All-Decade team
