After dropping seven straight games, and a change in the head coach, the St. Louis Blues are now on a three game winning streak. The Blues will try to keep that streak going as they play the New York Rangers tonight at the Scottrade Center. This will be the first of two games this season between the Blues and the Rangers. Last season, St. Louis played New York just once, and the Blues came away with a 2-1 win. That game was also at the Scottrade Center last February.

The Blues come into tonight’s game after a shut out win on Thursday night against the Minnesota Wild. The only goal in that game came off the stick of T.J. Oshie. The Blues defense played very strong as they would only allow 19 shots by the Wild on goalie Chris Mason. The Blues are now 20-19-7 on the season.

The New York Rangers will be trying to do something in this game they have not done in more than 144 minutes, score a goal. The Rangers have been shut out in back to back games, both of which were at Madison Square Garden. Still, the Rangers are 8-2-4 in their last 14 games.

This could be a very low scoring game as the Blues and the Rangers are both averaging about two and a half goals per game. This makes St. Louis 24th in the league in goals scored per game, and New York, 25th.

St. Louis Blues game time is 7:00 tonight.
