The St. Louis Cardinals selected left-handed pitcher Ben Jukich from the Cincinnati Reds with the 24th pick of the Major League 2009 Rule V Draft. Jukich was 9-6 with a 4.10 ERA in 17 starts for the Reds AAA Louisville club in 2009.
Blues have Wings’ number
With Ty Conklin getting a rare start ahead of Chris Mason, the former Detroit goalie came up solid against the Red Wings as the Blues continue to dominate on the road winning 1-0. Brad Boyes scored just 1:56 into the game and that goal stood up as the winner as Conklin made 42 saves in teh win.
Missouri State moves to 8-0 with win over UT-Martin
Missouri State used a hot first-half start to topple Tennessee-Martin, 79-51 to improve to 8-0 on the season. Three Bears scored 13 points, including Adam Leonard, Kyle Weems and Jermaine Mallett.
