Obama Afghan strategy winning praise in Missouri

It appears President Obama’s strategy for winning the war in Afghanistan is winning over key members of Missouri’s Congressional delegation.

West-Central Missouri Congressman Ike Skelton, chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, says President Obama struck the right notes.

“I thought the West Point speech was excellent,” Skelton tells the Missourinet. “The most important part was calling for America to unify against the common enemy.” [click to continue…]

Missourians beginning to lose federal COBRA subsidies

13 Tigers gain All Big 12 honors

Three Mizzou football student athletes were named first-team All-Big 12. Senior WR Danario Alexander, senior LB Sean Weatherspoon and sophomore PK Grant Ressel all earned first-team honors, while freshman DE standout Aldon Smith won the league’s defensive freshman of the year award.   In all, 13 Tigers received recognition from the Big 12 coaches.
