Jordin Tootoo scored on a wrist shot with 3:43 left to give the Predators a 3-1 victory over the St. Louis Blues on Thursday night. It was Tootoo’s first goal of the year and the loss was tough on Blues’ coach Andy Murray.

Four former student-athletes, a broadcaster, and championship team make up the 20th class of the University of Missouri Intercollegiate Athletics Hall of Fame. The Class of 2009 will include broadcaster Mahlon Aldridge, athletes, Ryan Fry, Amanda Lassiter, Sandi Prophete, Jim Johnson, and the 1964 baseball team.
Bears goalie Riggs grabs top MVC defensive honor
Missouri State Bears’ junior goalkeeper Alex Riggs was named Missouri Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Year. Riggs has eight shutouts, a 0.69 GAA and has only given up 12 goals this season.
Wash. U wins first round D-III volleyball tournament
The No. 4 Washington University in St. Louis volleyball team posted a 3-1 (25-17, 25-14, 25-27, 25-15) victory over Webster University in the opening round of the 2009 NCAA Division III Volleyball Championship on Thursday, Nov. 12, at the WU Field House in St. Louis, Mo.
Pujols a Silver Slugger…again
St. Louis Cardinals first basemen Albert Pujols, who led the National League in home runs won his fifth Silver Slugger Award, given to the best offensive player at each position. He was the only Cardinal or Royal to be honored this season.
