Pinkel calls me “pal”

Gary Pinkel I’ve heard it before. My late father-in-law used it plenty of times. Maybe once or twice on me in fact. When he called someone “pal,” it wasn’t a term of endearment. When Missouri Head Coach Gary Pinkel pulled out the “pal” on me, I felt his frustration, but the question had to be asked.  What post game video, by clicking on the photo.

Chiefs rally comes up short at J’ville

Chris Chambers may be a welcome site to Kansas City fans and to Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel. Chambers caught two touchdown passes in the fourth quarter, but up until then, playing without running back Larry Johnson, the Chiefs managed little offense in their 24-21 loss at Jacksonville.

NWMS gets first round bye, Griffons and Mules out

The Northwest Missouri State Bearcats have grabbed the 2nd seed in the Super Regional Four Rankings and will get a first round bye in the Division II football playoffs. The Bearcats will host a second round game on Saturday November 21st.

Missouri Ethics Commission teaches campaigns how to keep and report records

The Missouri Ethics Commission has begun offering campaign finance record-keeping classes to candidates and campaign personnel. The first of the classes was held last week in Jefferson City, with two more sessions set for next month in the capital city, and regional classes being put together for early in the new year.

Public defenders await Supreme Court ruling

Public defenders throughout Missouri have more than a passing interest in a couple of cases being considered by the State Supreme Court.
In the two cases, the Supreme Court is deciding whether the Public Defender Commission can create regulations excluding certain cases from its services in an effort to manage the caseload of state public defenders. [...]
