Former Rams’ receiver Torry Holt had 101 yards receiving on the day against his former team and Maurice Jones-Drew ran for three scores while gaining 133 yards. In overtime, the Rams came up short losing 23-20 at Jacksonville.

Josh Scobee hit at 36 yard field goal in OT for the winner. The Rams are 0-6 and their losing streak has now reached 16 straight games. The Rams took a 17-13 lead with 4:36 remaining after Leonard Little’s 36 yard pick six. The Jags went up 20-17 on their next drive and the Rams got down near the goal line in the closing seconds of regulation but had to settle for a Josh Brown FG to send the game into the extra frame.

Marc Bulger, back in the starting lineup after missing two games because of a bruised shoulder, completed 22 of 30 passes for 213 yards, with a touchdown and an interception. Steven Jackson rushed for 50 yards rushing and 78 receiving. Those two would prove vital late in the game when the Rams, down 20-17, got a huge play from Bulger who found Jackson open for a 38-yard gain. A few plays later, St. Louis had first-and-goal at the 9.

Bulger spiked the ball to stop the clock and threw it away on second down. With 7 seconds left — maybe enough time for one more play, Steve Spagnuolo called on Brown for the 27 yard field goal. I think if the Rams aren’t looking for their first win of the year Spagnuolo takes one more shot there, but if something happened and the Rams lose, Spags hears about it. Take the game into OT and take your chances there. Unfortunately, it just didn’t work out.
