Major League Baseball released their 2010 schedule and the Cardinals and Royals will only meet three times this year.   No games of the I-70 series will be played at Busch Stadium.  Instead the teams will play just three games at Kauffman on June 25-27.

The Royals will start the season at home on April 5 th against the Detroit Tigers, followed by the Red Sox April 9 th -11 th .  The Royals are at home to start the season for the first time since 2007 when they hosted Boston.  In 2006, Detroit visited KC for the season opener.

The Royals will play Colorado, Houston, Washington, Atlanta, and Cincinnati in interleague play.

The Cardinals will open 2010 on the road in Cincinnati and then travel to Milwaukee before coming home on April 12 th against Houston.  So, Tony LaRussa, who likes quick starts in April will take on three division rivals right off the bat.

The Cubs only make it to St. Louis twice next season, but at least they come after the All-Star break.  The first series is August 13-15, and the second is exactly a month later in September.  Make  your vacation plans for Chicago and Wrigley Field.  St. Louis takes three trips to the Windy City.

In addition to playing the Royals, the Angels, Mariners, A’s, and Blue Jays are on the schedule.
