Former Kansas City Chiefs defensive back Eric Warfield has been sent to prison for a fourth-offense drunken driving conviction.  Warfield, was sentenced to 1-3 years to a Nebraska prison.

Warfield pleaded guilty to the DUI charge in Lancaster, NE County District Court last month.  Warfield played eight years in the NFL for the Chiefs.

Warfield picked up three previous DUIs while playing for the Chiefs. After his third conviction in 2004 in Overland Park, Kan., he was sentenced to 10 days in jail and served a four-game suspension imposed by the NFL. Warfield was arrested Feb. 1 in Lancaster County and charged with refusing to submit to a DUI test.
