Chiefs head coach Todd Haley’s frustration grew after the defense dominated the offense in 11 on 11 drills Monday at the Chiefs training camp in River Falls, Wisconsin.  At one point, Haley stopped the practice and chewed out the offense asking if they "were tired of getting their butts kicked?"

Chiefs cornerback Ricardo Colclough picked off three passes including two from Matt Cassel.  People up at the training camp site have said that Cassel does not look sharp and at times look indecisive.  I’m not concerned about Cassel. What I am worried about is the fact he doesn’t have many receivers to throw to.  On one of Cassel’s picks, Dwayne Bowe failed to come back on a pass and shield the defender leading to an interception.

Haley was happy to get veteran Mike Vrabel on the practice field.  Vrabel is one of those players who can teach and communicate on the field which is something the coaches won’t be able to do in on the fly situations.  During one set of drills, Haley sat back and watched the action to see how well the players knew their assignments and responsibilities and was disappointed that some of the players (left unmentioned) weren’t as prepared as he would have liked.

The Chiefs are preparing for their first preseason game this Saturday when they take on the Houston Texans.
