The St. Louis Cardinals scored five runs in the 8th and turned a 3-2 deficit into a 7-3 win Sunday afternoon in Pittsburgh to complete a three game sweep of the Pirates.  Skip Schumaker hit a pinch hit two run homer that put the Cardinals on top.

Schumaker homered off Matt Capps, who then plunked Albert Pujols in the back and was tossed from the game.  The Pirates had to bring in Jesse Chavez for Capps.  He gave up a single to Matt Holliday and a two-run double to Ryan Ludwick. Khalil Greene then followed with a RBI single.

The Pirates jumped out to a 3-0 lead off Joel Pineiro who picked up his 10th
win after he gave up those three runs on nine hits in seven innings.  He also struck out six.
