The St. Louis Rams had their first scrimmage under the lights Friday night in front of about seven thousand fans at Harlen C. Hunter stadium on the campus of Lindenwood University.

It was a long day for head coach Steve Spagnuolo as earlier in the day he attended the funeral of one of his mentors, Philadelphia defensive coordinator Jim Johnson.

The Rams spent a lot of the scrimmage working on specific situations like goal line stands and fourth down conversions.  There were some injuries from last night.  Defensive tackle Adam Carriker suffered a sprained left ankle, safety Eric Bassey a sprained right knee, safety Craig Dahl tweaked a hamstring and tight end Daniel Fells had trouble breathing.  All the injured players were to be checked before the team’s only practice of the day this afternoon.
