Both the St. Louis Rams and the Kansas City Chiefs open training camp hoping to erase the memories of a last season.  St. Louis opened camp with all of its players on the field at the Russell Training Center in Earth City.  New head coach Steve Spagnolo said he did not sleep well Thursday night from the anticipation of getting to work yesterday.  The team will be in full pads for their first practice this morning at 8:15.  They will also practice again this afternoon at 2:45.  The Chiefs started their first practice at River Falls, Wisconsin with their running shoes on and without first round draft pick Tyson Jackson.  New head coach Todd Haley had the team start yesterday with a series of 300 yard runs, which had to be completed in a certain time in order for players to practice today.  Haley would not say which players did not pass the test, but did say a handful would not be on the field for the teams first practice today at 9:00.  The team will also practice again at 4:30 this afternoon.  Haley did say that some would not be on the field due to the conditioning test and others due to other physical issues.
