Savannah native Kate Gallagher won the Missouri Women’s Golf Association’s Junior Championship on Friday at A.L. Gustin Golf Course by shooting even par of the two day event.
Gallagher shot 142 beating Chesterfield’s Hanule Seo by five strokes. Fenton’s Lindsey Eisenreich, Kansas City’s Celeste Gassman and Chesterfield’s Rachel Thompson tied for third with 156s.
Those five girls have now qualified to represent Missouri at the Junior Girls Four State Championship on June 24-26 in Shawnee Mission, Kan. Columbia will again be host, when the Missouri Women’s Golf Association will hold its Amateur Championship on July 13-16 at The Club at Old Hawthorne.
