The Central Missouri Mules scored two runs in the top of the ninth inning Sunday afternoon for a 2-1 victory over Emporia State and a spot in the NCAA-II South Central Regional championship game Monday at 12 noon.

The Mules had only one hit heading into the ninth inning before scoring two runs on three hits. Will Feil tripled in Bret Schwartz with the tying run, and then scored what proved to be the winning run on an infield single from Jon Wegener.

Ryan Romo gave the Mules a solid starting performance with Chris Matlock coming out of the bullpen to pick up the win and put the Mules one victory away from a trip to the D-II Championships.

Emporia State beat Angelo State, so it will be a rematch on Monday at 12 noon.
