The Missouri Tigers will have two games to win one on Sunday when the Tigers learned they will play DePaul for the softball regional final.  This is what head coach Ehren Earleywine and the Tigers have been waiting for.

The Tigers were the only team in the top 16 nationally that hosted a regional that was not picked as a number one seed.  DePaul got that nod with the Tigers getting the number two seed.  When I spoke with Earleywine earlier in the week he said he was baffled by the seeding, but that his players would use that as a source of motivation.

Mizzou advanced with a 5-1 win over Illinois and 2-1 win over Bradley.  DePaul, after losing 1-0 to Bradley on Friday had to spend the entire afternoon and Friday night in their hotel room.  That was according to parents of one of the DePaul players that I met while at the games on Saturday.

Chelsea Thomas will start game one for Mizzou.

The punishment must have worked.  DePaul shutout Illinois 6-1 and came back to beat Bradley 2-1 to advance to the finals.
