The Missouri Tiger softball team struggled offensively most of the day against DePaul, but it was their sophomore lead-off hitter and speedster Rhea Taylor who came up with a clutch hit to win 1-0.

The left handed hitting Taylor normally slaps a single, steals a base or two and scores, but this time Taylor homered to left field to break the tie.  Becca Heteniak gave up just four hits and eight strikeouts.  Again, the opposition was outpitched by Chelsea Thomas.  The freshmen finished with seven strikeouts, but needed double plays in the first and second inning to get out of early jams.

The Missouri Tigers set a school record with 48 wins and will play the winner of the UCLA regional.
