The Cardinals were rained out Sunday in Washington following a 6-1 loss on Saturday. This is the second game already the Cardinals will have to make up and this will cause some headaches with the schedule since this was the Cardinals only planned trip to DC.

The league will be looking for mutual days off when both teams can reschedule this game, which at some point will most likely mean a long stretch of games later this summer for the Cards.

For now, the rainout helps with the Cardinals rotation.  It will give the starting pitchers an extra day off and has pushed back Kyle Lohse to start Monday night against the World Champion Phillies and the return of St. Louis native Ryan Howard.
