The finale of a four game series with the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field was rained out Sunday night. The game will now be made up as part of a day-night doubleheader July 12th.

The rain out could be great timing for the Cardinals, whose bullpen had been overworked in the previous few games and needed a break. The Cards were even talking about the possibility of making a roster move to activate a 13th pitcher to the roster because of all the stress the relievers had been under.

The Cardinals are off Monday, before starting a homestand with the New York Mets on Tuesday night at Busch Stadium.
