Two months ago, the St. Louis Blues were in last place in the Western Conference and just a week ago were fighting for their playoff lives.  After a 1-0 win at Colorado yesterday, the Blues moved up to the number six seed in the playoffs and will open Wednesday at Vancouver.

After the opener on Wednesday, the Blues play in Vancouver again on the 17th and then return home for games on Sunday the 19th and Tuesday the 21st.

It’s really been a tale of two halves for the Blues. Since a 5-2 win against Colorado on January 15 th , the Blues have gone 25-8-7.  Prior to that, the Blues were 16-23-3.

Brad Boyes scored the lone goal for the Blues, which came exactly six minutes into the game. Chris Mason, who has been sensational down the stretch, stopped all 28 shots he faced for his sixth shutout of the season.
