A special master ruled that Chiefs running back Larry Johnson forfeited his right to guaranteed payments in his contract when he was suspended last year for one game by the NFL for a violation of the league’s personal-conduct policy.

If the Chiefs release Johnson, they will not owe him three and a half million dollars.  A source close to the Chiefs said if they won the hearing, they would cut LJ.  Through his agent, Johnson says he likes direction the team is headed and has a desire to play with the Chiefs.  He sure does, if he stays with the Chiefs in 2009, he’ll get $4.5 million from them.
