The # 6 Central Missouri Mules capped off a great week of basketball, blowing out the # 7 Southwest Baptist 98-63 in front of more than 4,800 fans for the South Central Region Championship played in Warrensburg, MO.

Central Missouri (29-4) led from start and didn’t allow an SBU bucket for the first 5:20 of the game.  The Mules opened up a 15-2 lead over the Bearcats (26-5). The Mules went into the locker room up 36-25.

The Mules hit 7 of 9 three pointers in the second half.  They used a 14-2 run with just under nine minutes to play to build their lead by 28.   With five minutes left to play, Central Missouri was up by 30, and with a minute left it was 37 as the shots kept falling and the defense kept forcing SBU misses.

Central Missouri had five players in double figures led by South Central Regional MVP Sanijay Watts with 22.
