Yadier Molina, and four regular Royals were announced on World Baseball Classic rosters as the tournament begins March 5 th and runs through the 23 rd .  I’ve got the WBC schedule .

Molina will join Cubs’ catcher Geovany Soto as the back stops for Jose Oquendo’s Puerto Rico squad.  Joining Molina will be Royals shortstop Mike Aviles. 

Jose Guillen will try to DH on Thursday.  He’s been bothered by a sore shoulder.  If all goes well, he’ll leave for Florida on Sunday to begin training with the Dominican Republic.

Mark Teahen trying to make the move from outfield to second base will play for Team Canada and Joakim Soria, the Mexicutioner as he was called last year will once again by on the Mexico roster.

Albert Pujols gave early consideration to playing as well as Ryan Ludwick, but both decided to drop out.  Last week, Cardinals pitcher Joel Pineiro opted out after PR’s manager Oquendo told him he wouldn’t be one of his starting pitchers.
