Missouri, behind Leo Lyons 13 points and Marcus Denmon’s 11 off the bench lead the Tigers to a 66-53 win over the Buffaloes in Colorado.  The 10 th ranked Tigers move to 23-4.

Lyons fouled out late, but he was a man on the board, pulling in 15 rebounds including 11 in the first half.  The Tigers got off to a quick 5-0 lead and built up a 10-1 lead, less than five minutes into the game as Colorado turned the ball over five times and only attempted one shot in that span.

Colorado cut the lead to 17-15, but Lyons had two offensive rebounds, and a dunk.  Then after Lyons pulled down a defensive rebound, DeMarre Carroll  fed Kim English who nailed his second three pointer of the game, and Mizzou’s lead shot up to  22-15.  Colorado would never get closer.

Mizzou would build their lead to as much as 13 in the first half and finish with a 37-26 lead at the break.  The Tigers quickly extended their lead to 15 at the start of the second half and maintained and built from that point on.

The Tigers shot 50% for the game, but made only 4 of 16 from three.  They out rebounded the Buffs 34-19 and were solid at the free throw line making good on 12 of 13.

Missouri will host Kansas State on Wednesday night in front of a sold out Mizzou Arena.  Tip-off just after 8pm.
