The 10 th ranked Missouri Tiger baseball team opened their season with a big 12-1 win over Nevada at the Grand Canyon Classic Friday night in Phoenix, Az.  The win is the second largest victory for Mizzou in the last 15 years under Head Coach Tim Jamieson.

Mizzou’s junior pitcher Kyle Gibson went six innings allowing the Wolfpack’s only run while striking out six.  Gibson and three relievers combined to allow just four hits.

Outfielder Ryan Lollis went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI and three runs scored.  Junior catcher Trevor Coleman walked four times.  In fact, Nevada pitchers walked 15 batters and struck out 12.  Those are stats you’d see at a 6 th grade little league game.

Tigers play Gonzaga today, then a double-header with these same two teams on Sunday.
