margaret.jpg On this week’s Press Box Podcast I touch briefly on Cardinals’ spring training and overtime in the NFL, but my feature is on the Westminster College softball team in Fulton, Missouri and the story of Margaret Romph.

Head coach Nicole Stacey and her players are stepping to the plate to help raise money for Margaret Romph, a five year old girl who was involved in a serious auto wreck back in January.  Margaret suffered severe head trauma, two broken femurs, and a broken neck.  This little girl has a long road ahead of her and our prayers are with her.  I’m sure you can imagine the medical bills for the Romph family.

I visited with Coach Stacey to talk about Margaret, and to share more information on her team’s idea of a hosting a 100 inning softball game on February 25 th on the campus of Westminster College to help raise money for the family.  If you are interested in playing a few innings, whether with a couple of friends or an entire team, you can contact coach at [email protected]   or call 573-592-5328.

It’s such a cool story what these girls are doing and I hope you enjoy the conversation.  For updates on Margaret, you can log on to caringbridge.org/visit/margaretromph
